Louise Yingduo Liu believes in the impact of media on public life. Through her PR endeavors, she brings greater public awareness to the societal and personal values created through arts and culture.
Born and raised in China, Louise came to Chicago in 2014 immediately following the completion of her B.A. in Japanese Language Studies from Peking University in Beijing. Her longtime passion and practice in music and theatre led her towards an M.A. in Arts Administration and Policy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Upon finishing her graduate degree, Louise went on to discover what it entailed to be an arts administrator by taking on various roles in the Chicago arts scene, ranging from visual art to theatre, and nonprofits to commercial organizations. She was the Collection Manager for an Alumni Relations archive project at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a Gallery Assistant at Corbett vs. Dempsey, a Program Assistant at the Community Outreach division of the Art Institute of Chicago, a Visitor Service Associate at Alphawood Gallery, and the Gallery Manager of Zhou B Art Center. Prior to joining The Silverman Group, she worked as the PR Coordinator for Nothing Without a Company, a Chicago nonprofit theatre, where she uncovered her passion and started to build a skill set for public relations.
In her personal creative practice, Louise is a vocalist and core member of Chicago indie band Rabbit n Wolf, for which she received a DCASE Individual Artist Grant in 2016.
