ANNUAL BUDGET-FRIENDLY FUNDRAISING PARTY INCLUDES UNLIMITED BEER, DJ, LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, FOOD TRUCKS, AND MORE
SUNDAY, JULY 12, 4-10 PM IN THE BACK LOT OF FISCHMAN LIQUORS
(JUNE 23, 2015) –The Gift Theatre hosts its second annual artist-friendly fundraiser, The Season Release Bash, for friends and colleagues in the theater community. Attendees of this spirited party in the old-school style of early Gift fundraisers will be the first to hear Artistic Director Michael Patrick Thornton reveal The Gift’s 2016 season. Entertainment is provided by DJ White Russian, Sidewalk Chalk and Sad Brad Smith, and food trucks will be on hand to purchase vittles. The Gift’s Season Release Bash takes place Sunday, July 12, 4 – 10 p.m. at the Fischman Liquors and Tavern Back Lot, 4780 N Milwaukee Ave. $25 tickets – available at thegifttheatre.org, 773-283-7071, or at the door – include unlimited beer courtesy of Lake Effect, Slapshot, and Mikerphone Breweries.
“A season isn’t simply something to announce,” said Thornton. “After the hundreds of plays read and the spirited conversations about who we are, where we’re headed, and what our 15th Anniversary means, our 2016 season is something to celebrate indeed. Come party with our ensemble—we’ll have some new members you’ll want to meet—and be the first in the world to celebrate a landmark season and moment for The Gift.”
The affordable Season Release Bash is one of the Gift’s annual fundraisers including three “Come Closer” performances that invite guests to meet and talk with actors and creatives after the show and the annual Gala. Guests subscribing on July 12 receive access to a special five-show package deal offered on that night only: see the two remaining shows of 2015 (Body + Blood and Good for Otto) as well as all three shows of 2016 Season, all for $150.00.
